Adele Esposito Andujar is senior researcher at CNRS (the National Centre for Scientific Research, France). She is based at the research department Géographie-Cités. Her research looks at urban politics in Southeast Asia, with a focus on the dynamics of urban internationalisation triggered by heritage conservation, direct foreign investments, and international cooperation programs. She is the coordinator of the research program "Cities Along the New Silk Roads in Southeast Asia", funded by the French Research National Agency (ANR). She also coordinates the international research network CREMA and UTAB. Together with Prof. Michael Herzfeld, she edits the book series "Asian Heritages" published by Amsterdam University Press.

Marie Gibert-Flutre's research deals with the dynamics of public and private spaces in the production and appropriation of urban space in Asia. By critically exploring ‘global Asia’ from ordinary public spaces and neighborhoods, she turns in particular the traditional approach to ‘global cities’ upside down and contributes to a renewed conception of metropolization as a highly situated process, where forces at play locally are both intertwined and labile. As Principal Investigator, she currently manages the Ho Chi Minh City case study of the International SEANNET 2 (Southeast Asia Neighborhoods Network) research program: Communities of Learning, Research and Teaching Collaborative (funded by the Henry Luce Foundation). She is also the Principal Investigator of the “Governing Diverse Cities in Europe and Asia” international research programme (National University of Singapore/UPCité).

Manuelle Franck is Professor of Geography at INALCO and researcher at the research department CESSMA. She is a specialist of Southeast Asia. Her research deals with urbanisation dynamics and transnational dynamics, with a focus on Indonesia and Thailand.

Prin Jhearmaneechotechai was trained as an architect. He is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Chulalongkorn University. He earned is PhD in Paris, at the doctoral school "Ville, Transports, Territoires" of the University Paris East. His PhD dissertation dealt with the resilience of water-based villages in Thonburi, Bangkok. Since then, Prin has extensively worked on heritage, urban development and community participation in Thailand.

Charles Goldblum is an emeritus professor in urban planning at the University of Paris 8 and former director of the French Institute of Planning. Currently associated to AUSSER/IPRAUS research laboratory, he is a specialist in Southeast Asian urban studies and his ongoing research is focusing on metropolitan development issues and urban heritage policies.

Joel Idt is Assistant Professor at Gustave Eiffel University (France). His research work focuses on the analysis of collective action in urban planning, and in particular on the relationship between technics and politics in public decision-making. It deals with the management of major urban development projects in France and in Europe, but also public intervention beyond the most publicized urban projects and « ordinary » planning practices.

Nathalie Lancret is CNRS research director at CASE. He research looks at the material production of Southeast Asian cities, with a focus on heritage politics as well as the conservation and transmission of vernacular and sacred heritages.
